ABSTRACT
The presence of an acardiac twin is one of the most serious complications in multiple monochorial pregnancies. Vascular anastomoses determine severe malformations in the fetus with absence of cardiac tissue and cardiac insufficiency in the healthy fetus; thus, mortality for the latter can reach 70%. We report on a case of a twin monochorial pregnancy treated conservatively and resolved at 34 weeks with a live second twin.
