ABSTRACT

This review describes the most important clinical and pathological characteristics of testicular neoplasms that most frequently affect man and dog. A comparative analysis of tumors in man and dog regarding their classification, frequency and evolution, and to establish similarities and differences between both species was performed. It was found out, that there are more differences than similarities between human and animal testicular neoplasms. Therefore, it is rather difficult to establish if the dog could be used as a biologic model in testing new treatments in these testicular neoplasms for later impact in human beings.
