Clinical and pathological descriptions of an infection due to Aeromonas hydrophila and Ichthyophthirius multifiliis in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum) and tilapia (Oreochromis aureus, L) is described. Although both agents are common in fish farms, records in Mexico are scarce. Fish came from a collecting farm from the state of Morelos, Mexico. The combination of stress and deficient farm management, including different fish species (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Oreochromis aureus and Carassius auratus) without proper conditions, are very likely to have contributed to the development of the disease. Aeromonas hydrophila and Ichthyophthirius multifiliis are important opportunist path gens in aquaculture. Careful management should be taken when different fish species are kept in the farm. Prevention of infections is of the utmost importance.
