ABSTRACT
Introduction: Mammary myofibroblastoma is an extraordinarily rare benign mesenchymal tumor of uncertain etiology. The high incidence in men took to some authors to investigate the possible role of this tumor. Imaging findings consist on a unilateral mass, of slow growth and variable size, of a benign appearance: of rounded or ovoid morphology, with well bounded margins, homogeneous, dense without microcalcifications or retraction of the skin. The histological study contributes with important characteristics; however, the immunohistochemistry confirms the myofibroblastic dif-ferentiation and the treatment is the simple excision without having been described local relapses.
Material and methods: Introducing the clinical-radiological case of a 66 years old male patient who has begun his current suffering approximately four years ago, with a nodule in the right mamma of slow and progressive growth and since three months ago, with a bigger increase of the same, he denies pain, for which he was sent to the Unit of Mammary Tumors of our hospital. Ultrasound in grayscale and Doppler were carried out and BAAF, tru-cut and surgical piece and immunohistochemistry study were obtained.
