ABSTRACT
Introduction. Non-Hodgkin linfoma is a heterogeneous group of neoplasias, the result of a proliferation of malignant cells of linfoide or histiocitical lineage. The evolution of the illness is acute and the attack on the general condition is fast. Of the total malignant neoplasias in patients under 18, 12% correspond to those located in the head and neck. The primary linfomas of the larynx in children are very rare. The ones mentioned have been reports of clinical cases. Below is the case of a patient with non-Hodgkin linfoma of primary T cells of the larynx.
Clinical case. He is a male age 12, from a rural area, without a history of hereditary neoplasia, with a 12-day development chart, characterized by intermittent fever, cough fits 3 days prior to his entry and with respiratory problems and sibilants that one can hear from a distance. The biopsy of the supraglottical tumor, done by way of an immunohistochemical study, reports the presence of non-Hodgkin linfoma T cells. Furthemore, a chemotherapy combination with a total result has been applied in the third course. Conclusion. With the present case we emphasize the clinical chart, diagnostic route and we consider that a registry of the tumors of the head and throat be kept and they are relevant to taking decisions.
