ABSTRACT
Hemangiomas represent the 4
th most frequent tumor in the hand, after the ganglion, synovial sheet giant cell tumor and the mucus cysts. Skeletal muscle is one of the most affected tissues, and 90% of the patients are 30 years old or less. In the upper extremity it is associated with nerve compression of the median nerve that produce carpal tunnel syndrome or ulnar nerve compression at the elbow or at the Guyon’s tunnel. We report 10 patients with cavernous hemangioma in the forearm and hand over a period of 22 years, diagnosis and treatment. A case report is presented. We review the classification of tumoral nerve involvement of the median and cubital nerve and the literature about the newest of cavernous hemangioma.
