During the last decade the reproduction of cattle has shown a rapid evolution. The development of new techniques has contributed to increase the capacity for reproductive and genetic improvement in cattle. The present review deals with the most modern techniques regarding the manipulation of the reproductive process. It also discusses summarized information such as advantages and disadvantages, practical applications efficiency, costs and commercial availability of every technique.
