ABSTRACT
Laparoscopic funduplicature for treatment of gastroesophagic reflux is the minimal invasion surgery with lowest morbimortality, however one of the most severe complications are the esophagic perforation and secondary mediastinitis. We present a case report of mediastinitis secondary to laparoscopic funduplicature. It is the first case report in the Mexican literature.
