Cerebrovascular disease and epilepsy. Analysis of CIREN

ABSTRACT

An analysis is performed of admitted patients in Encephalic Static Lesions Clinic of adults at Neurological Restoration, Havana City, Cuba, during the period between 2003 and 2004. The casuistic is conformed by 242 patients. 71 had epileptic crisis (29.3%) and 8 had the first crisis in the clinic (3.30%). We detailed the different causes and ischemic cerebrovascular disease was predominant. The epileptic crisis are analysed according to different clinic types. A review of different reports is fulfilled.
