ABSTRACT
In order to be whole and individualized, the therapeutic antiaddictive interventions must be based on intervention models of verified effectiveness. Experts in this field make sure that the best programs of attention provide a combination of therapies and services that cover the particular needs of every patient, in accordance with their socio-demographic variables and therapeutic precedents. The decrease of relapsing and the promotion of substantive changes in lifestyles, as result of the application of treatment models, impels to create better services in the units. Focused to make the stage of residential attention more efficient, attention models are integrated to grant services with options designed for the peculiar characteristics and needs. The enlargement and reinforcement of a program is proposed, described and documented, whose end is to make use of the structured ambiences and their social internal organization for the sake of a major number of cases, without impairment of quality. The update and renewal of the scopes of residential treatment will allow the increase of current coverage, and the operation not only of traditional methods of medical treatment, but also of new psychological techniques focused to the reduction or suppression of abuse and dependency. Facing the diversity of soliciting populations for services and the complexity accused by the proliferation of new patterns of consumption, the establishment of programs that promise feasible results, needs to be consolidated by firm steps in the handling and use of skills that support and assure the therapeutic and rehabilitation process.
