ABSTRACT
The correlation validity study between the Profile of Developmental Conducts Revised (PCD-R in Spanish) and the Bayley Scales of Infant Development (BSID-II) is presented.
Methodology: 40 children between 1 and 42 months of age were evaluated with both tests. Several statistical analyses were done including: descriptive analysis, a Pearson Correlation, a sensitivity and specificity analysis, and a positive and negative predictive value. In order to make these analyses the PCD-R was regrouped in accordance with the BSID-II scales.
Results: A positive and statistically significant correlation was found between the PCD-R and the BSID-II in the mental and motor subscales, showing that both instruments measure similar constructs in these areas. It was demonstrated as well, that the PCD-R’s areas correlated between each other and with each subscale of the BSID-II.
