ABSTRACT
Facial hemispasm is a motor disfunction that produces tonic o toniclonic spasms of the facial muscles. The most frecuent factor for this is the compression of the nerve by an artery or venous arterial complex at the puntocerebellar angle. Several medical treatments have being used but the vascular surgical decompression gives the best results with rates of suceses upto 92 % and low morbimortality in experienced hands.
