ABSTRACT
The severe fibrosis seen in certain cases of subglottic and upper tracheal segment stenosis can collapse the laryngeal arm of the Montgomery T tube. The addition of a short segment of silastic tube to this laryngeal arm increases its resistance to collapse. Two cases in point are presented; this represents a useful and nonexpensive alternative to be used in similar cases.
