ABSTRACT
This is a review of 22 cases who had chornic instability of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee. There were 20 male and 2 female patients. Reconstruction treatment was by bone-patelar ligament-bone grafting fixed by interferential screws. Patients came back into their former activities as follows: 7 cases after three months (no sports), 8 cases after 4 months (sales men or car drivers), 6 cases at 5 months (farmers) and only one woman after one year including official practice of soccer. Lachmann test was positive grade I in 21 cases and only in one it was grade II. All 22 cases had patelo-femoral crepitus after 3 months of surgery, which decreased to 15 cases at 6 months and only to 7 cases at one year.
