Beneficial and deleterious effects of fructose consumption

ABSTRACT
The feedings is a cornerstone element of the environment and human’s lifestyle. It can be manipulated to reach health benefits in general population. Nowadays, the obesity and diabetes mellitus have become a problem of public health, with prevalence that it increasing of alarming form. Several are the explanations that have occurred to understand this phenomenon; one of them is the association with the consumption of fructose. But this sugar has been present like part of our feeding from unmemorable times, is possible then to ask: Which are the factors that have been taking part so that their consumption is injurious? This paper describes recent findings about fructose in animal and human mode and we can conclude that the metabolic alterations that are produced by fructose are not exclusive if this sugar and that the effects on health and disease doesn’t rely directly to the human’s use of fructose
