ABSTRACT
We report the case of a 39-year-old male patient who debuted
with symptoms of neurological deterioration secondary
to advanced disease of a long-standing paratesticular
tumor without therapeutic approach. Liposarcoma is a malignant
mesenchymal tumor of adipose tissue, with a usual
presentation of indolent disease and slow growth. Not
many cases of advanced disease have been reported in the
literature due to the low metastatic potential of this rare
histological lineage in paratesticular tumors. The clinical
importance of the presented case is due to the diagnostic
approach secondary to the deterioration of the patient’s
neurological status due to the presence of metastatic disease
in the central nervous system. We make a summary of
the diagnostic and therapeutic management and characteristics
of this pathology.
