Treatment of open tibia fracture by external fixation and flap

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the open fracture of the tibia is one of the most frequent emergencies in patients who suffer motor vehicle accidents and its treatment is generally very complex.Case presentation: 40-year-old male patient who suffered an open fracture of the tibia after a car accident undergoing treatment with an external fixator, flap and antibiotics.
Conclusions: the adequate management of the patient with an open fracture allows a satisfactory evolution, the placement of external fixators allows applying other therapeutic options and thus stabilizing the fracture.
