ABSTRACT
Otitis media is a common pathology in children. The most habitual pathogens are Streptococcus pneumoniae (acute otitis media) and Haemophilus influenzae (chronic otitis media, recurrent acute otitis media, and acute otitis refractory to treatment). Other microorganisms involved can be Moraxella catarrhalis and Streptococcus pyogenes. This is the case of a two year and five months girl with exudative otitis media. Staphylococcus caprae was isolated from middle ear fluid. This is an unusual germen causing nosocomial infections and usually affects immunosuppressed patients.
