ABSTRACT
Introduction: Central Giant Cell Granuloma (CGCG) is a rare intraosseous injury, benign, and non-odontogenic. It occurs in the anterior region of the maxillary bones, contains multiple sources of hemorrhage, and multinucleated giant cells. Sometimes it presents an aggressive osteolytic form of the jaws.
Objective: Treatment of a Central Giant Cell Granuloma treated with corticosteroid injec-tions.
Clinical case presentation: A 30-year-old feminine patient, no medical history relevant to the case. Patient presents an increase in volume in the lower third of the face on the left side with reference of dental mobility and pain. Facial asymmetry at the expense of increase of volume on the left mandibular region. Volume increase of the bilateral mucosa including the anterior jaw area, located at the level of the mucosa of tooth 34 to the mesial part of tooth 43. An incisional biopsy was performed with histopathological result of an injury or CGCG.
