Case of an adult individual with undiagnosed Asperger syndrome

ABSTRACT
Asperger Syndrome (AS) constitutes a form of presentation of the autism spectrum disorder (ASD); which is characterized by manifestations of qualitative alterations during social interaction, with a behavior repetitive patterns; As well as motor and language difficulties; but commonly with intelligence, language skills and normal taxonomic. This is the case of an individual adult with the classic features mentioned above, which was treated erroneously during his time at the school in response to different diagnoses. It is transferred to a hospital unit due to a suicidal attempt, where a multidisciplinary valuation begins, at which different psychological tests in the Psychiatry service were applied, they allow us to establish an Asperger Syndrome accurate diagnosis.
