ABSTRACT
This text is aimed to reflect on the importance and value of graduates’ testimonies on study, comprehension, and reconstruction of psychology school history; as well as to share the experience on 28 former alumni texts from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro Psychology School (Mexico), university that in 2020 celebrated the 50th graduation anniversary of the first generation of psychology graduates in the State. Of the 28 participants, 16 (57.1%) are women and 12 (42.9%) are men; twelve (42.9%) graduated from clinical psychology, eight (28.6%) from educational psychology, four (14.3%) from social psychology, three (10.7%) from industrial-organizational psychology, and one (3.6%) from general psychology. The results show that graduates have a set of experiences and emotions that allow them to articulate knowledge linked to Psychology School History and to their academic communities, which are not always recorded or studied; therefore, it is fundamental not to leave them behind and to listen to their testimonies.REFERENCES
