The assessed variables were: sex, age, evolution time of the disease, place of residence, risk factors, clinical calssification of the wounds and evolution of the treatment with Heberprot-P®.
Results: Diabetic foot had more prevalence in women from 40 years old and it usually affects patients who live in urban areas. The most common risk factors were: obesity, alcoholism, smoking habit, arterial hypertension, and arterial insufficiency. The treatment with Heberprot-P showed a positive evolution in patients with Wagner 1 and 2 type of wounds.

The treatment with Heberprot-P® in Wagner 1 and 2 type of wounds has a positive evolution, and reduces the risks of amputation.
