ABSTRACT
Vancomycin is an antimicrobial frequently used in hospitals for the treatment of serious infections due to methicillin-resistant
Staphylococcus aureus, among its most important side effects is nephrotoxicity. This, in the presence of other risk factors specific to the patient, predisposes to the appearance of acute kidney injury.
