Lesión renal aguda asociada a vancomicina

RESUMEN
La vancomicina es un antimicrobiano de uso frecuente a nivel intrahospitalario para el tratamiento de infecciones graves por
Staphylococcus aureus meticilino resistente. Entre sus efectos secundarios de mayor cuidado se encuentra la nefrotoxicidad. Esta, en presencia de otros factores de riesgo propios del paciente, predispone la aparición de la lesión renal aguda.
