ABSTRACT
It is a secondary cardiological entity to perinatal asphyxia, conditioning a clinic square in newborn infants with healthy heart and big vessels without structural alterations. The signology is variable according to injury site and its extension with predominant papillary muscles. It’s also named Transient Myocardial Ischemia of the Newborn or Myocardial-Hipoxic-Ischemic of the Newborn.
The goal of this study was to determinate the neonatal myocardial necrosis frequency and its characteristics in neonate autopsy material which allows us to establish or set up in Neonatology Service and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit some strategies for opportune diagnostic and treatment of Myocardial-Hipoxic-Isquemic.
