Miocardiopatía hipóxica isquémica. Hallazgos histopatológicos en 23 neonatos

RESUMEN
Esta entidad es secundaria a asfixia perinatal. Condiciona un cuadro clínico con corazón sano y grandes vasos sin alteraciones estructurales. La signología es variable de acuerdo al sitio de la lesión y su extensión, y predominio, a los músculos papilares. Se le denomina también isquemia miocárdica transitoria del recién nacido o miocardiopatía hipóxica isquémica del recién nacido.
El objetivo de este estudio fue conocer sus características en el material de autopsias de neonatos para establecer o planear estrategias de diagnóstico y tratamiento oportuno de la miocardiopatía hipóxica isquémica.
