ABSTRACT
Hand are common injuries, because they are related to the most used anatomic region at home and at labor enviorments. They must be evaluated clinically and radiographicaly to avoid further damage to vascular, neurologic or tendon structures. A case of a penetrating injury with a knitting hook to the volar aspect of the thumb is presented.
