ABSTRACT
We present the case of a couple of female twins who were breast fed for only two months, and were wean at age of three months. One of them developed a severe atopic dermatitis. We review the hypothetical protective role that breast feeding may have for atopic dermatitis; with particular strengthen on the restriction diet that mothers with high risk should follow and the need to improve this diet with long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids.
