ABSTRACT
From January 1992 to January 1996, two hundred patients were submited to open cholecistectomy for chronic and acute cholecystitis in which choledocholithiasis was suspected. In all patients cholangioscopy, was performed during the surgical procedure obtaining a 100% of success in cleaning the common bile duct and in the detection of stone in the biliary tract. No complications were observed.
