ABSTRACT
On December 2019. the first cases of a progressive pneumonia of unknown cause were reported in Wuhan, China. Later, the disease was named as COVID -19 and recently spread to the whole world. This disease affects respiratory, gastrointestinal and neurologic systems. Its main manifestation is on the respiratory system and includes acute respiratory failure and even acute respiratory distress sydrome requiring mechanical ventilation. The approach of the airway in these cases implies a risk of contamination of the medical staff. We review in this article different techniques to avoid exposure and contamination during intubation.REFERENCES
