ABSTRACT
The infection by COVID-19 (SARS-Cov-2), which is currently a pandemic, has health services
as a cornerstone for the approach. The doctor plays a fundamental role in the entire diagnostic
and therapeutic management of the patient with COVID-19, however, it can be a vector for
transmission at the nosocomial and community level. Based on the experience and publications
of hospital centers where the current pandemic started and where a large number of cases have
occurred, it allows us to better understand the transmission mechanisms, weaknesses and
improvements that can be applied to our health centers and the doctor, in order to reduce
nosocomial infection.
