ABSTRACT
During the first semester of 2020, 52 femicides occurred in Veracruz, placing it in second place at the national level. The objective of this research is to identify the risk factors that women perceive to be victims of femicidal violence. An instrument has been constructed that assesses violence from the following perspectives: political sphere, community sphere, interpersonal relations, individual sphere, perception of violence, antecedents of violence. The sample consisted of 815 students from the Veracruz-Boca del Río región, with an average age of 20.45 years. The results showed that in the political sphere is where the greatest risk is perceived with 43.4% high and 53.1% at medium risk, only 3.4% perceived a low risk. Followed by the community sphere where 53.0% perceived a high risk, a medium 45.8% and a low risk for 1.2%. The partner score found 87.2% with a low risk, medium with 11% and 1.7% with a high score. Within the individual sphere, 95.5% have a low score, a medium score with 4.3% and 0.2% as a high score. The violence perception score for 86% is low, 13.9% medium, and 0.1% high. Conclusion: the position of women on the perception of being a victim of feminicide is low, with 58%, 10.9% considering it as very low and 4.0% with a medium score. The area where the greater insecurity is perceived is public space and transportation, 57.7% coinciding with the data from the CNDH (2019).
