ABSTRACT
The electric stimulation from its origin in the decade of the 50’s, has been developing for the treatment of different urological pathologies, likewise diverse neurostimulants has been designed with different applications based on the vesicourethral neurophisiology to give treatment to diverse urologic illnesses.
In the present work a revision of the electric stimulation from its origin until the present time was carried out revising the applications, uses, utilities and advances in the urology area, reviewing the publications in detail with regard to this topic found in MEDLINE and Internet PUBMED MEDLINE, concluding in the perspectives that this advances will have in the threshold of the new millennium.
