ABSTRACT
With the appearance of social networks in the last two decades, communication has totally changed, now it is easier to be in contact with patients. Some of the main social networks are Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Youtube and Instagram. Which have served for the orthodontist to have contact with the patient by offering information for the prevention of malocclusions, information on treatment, motivating the patient and also for marketing. There are other advantages such as reminding the patient of appointments, hygiene during treatment and performing treatment procedures that the patient has to perform outside of the orthodontic office.
