Venous thrombosis and cancer: an approach to epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment

ABSTRACT

The venous embolic thrombus disease, which stalks in a perfidious manner to the patient suffering from some type of cancer, still has diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to consolidate in the knowledge of the physicians dedicated to the care of these entities. What is collected here, makes a sketch of concrete epidemiology data, of the established diagnostic steps, with their necessary indications, as well as of the advances achieved in the treatment of venous embolic thrombus disease, citing the most current scientific advances, in where the New Oral Anticoagulants stand out, as well as thrombectomy for reolithic Angiojet.
