Diagnosis and treatment of acute severe pancreatitis

ABSTRACT
Severe acute pancreatitis is an entity of a great interest because its clinical expressivity and evolution are very diverse.
Embracing from an abdominal pain as only clinical manifestation until systemic complications whose causes are generally the alcoholism and the biliar lithiasis in 74%.1 To make an opportune diagnosis will avoid the severity from the ailment because the serious pancreatitis represents 15 to 20% of the cases, with a mortality that varies from 9% to 100% depending on the number of organs for systems affected. Because of that is necessary to use the approaches that allow us to provide of prognostic information about the course of our patient’s illness and based on that to make an appropriate therapy.
