Reparación del cartílago articular en la rodilla

RESUMEN
Las lesiones del cartílago articular han sido encontradas hasta en 61% de los pacientes que se han sometido a artroscopia de la rodilla. Sin embargo, existe controversia sobre cuál es el mejor tratamiento a utilizar en cuanto a tipo de tejido de reparación, evolución clínica y costo-beneficio. En esta revisión abordamos los criterios de diagnóstico de las lesiones de cartílago articular y del tejido de reparación, los diferentes tratamientos disponibles y la evidencia del análisis económico del beneficio obtenido.
