Determinación toxicológica de cocaína en humor vítreo

RESUMEN
La determinación toxicológica postmortem de cocaína y sus derivados tradicionalmente ha sido realizada en muestras de sangre y orina; sin embargo, en algunos casos no se cuenta con este tipo de sustratos, lo cual obliga al uso de sustratos alternativos; de ellos, en años recientes ha surgido interés en el uso del humor vítreo para determinación de cocaína y benzoilecgonina como su principal metabolito. En la presente revisión analizamos las características que hacen al humor vítreo un sustrato útil para el análisis toxicológico de cocaína y derivados, la metodología usada en la actualidad así como los resultados obtenidos en estudios recientes acerca de la sensibilidad y especificidad de su determinación.
