Propuesta de algoritmo diagnóstico de aneurisma de aorta abdominal con laboratorio vascular no invasivo, en el Servicio de Angiología del Hospital General de México

RESUMEN
Los aneurismas de la aorta abdominal (AAA) son asintomáticos en la mayoría de las ocasiones y
se descubren de forma fortuita, pero en ocasiones se manifiestan de forma aguda debido a su ruptura.
Una ruptura representa una emergencia médica con alto porcentaje de mortalidad. Hasta
80% fallece al llegar al hospital, y 50% durante el procedimiento quirúrgico. Sólo 10-25% de los
pacientes con un AAA roto sobreviven. Por lo que un diagnóstico precoz es importante con el fin de
realizar una reparación electiva y disminuir la mortalidad. El ultrasonido es de gran utilidad
para realizar una detección oportuna. Motivo por el cual se ha propuesto un algoritmo diagnóstico
con laboratorio vascular no invasivo en pacientes con alto riesgo, ya sea sintomáticos o asintomáticos,
en el Servicio de Angiología y Cirugía Vascular del Hospital General de México “Dr. Eduardo
Liceaga”.
