Rinosinusitis: perspectiva actual y abordaje diagnóstico

RESUMEN
La rinosinusitis es una de las enfermedades respiratorias que más afecta la calidad de vida de los pacientes, a
pesar de ello, todavía existen brechas en el abordaje clínico, por lo que no todos los casos son correctamente
diagnosticados, como consecuencia el manejo y tratamiento no siempre son los adecuados. De acuerdo
con la Academia Americana de Otorrinolaringología y Cirugía de Cabeza y Cuello, esta entidad es la
quinta causa de prescripción y uso de antibióticos. El objetivo de este artículo es presentar un panorama
actual de la enfermedad y brindar una orientación para su correcto diagnóstico y abordaje terapéutico.
