Papel de la agregación del péptido Beta amiloide en la enfermedad de Alzheimer

RESUMEN
El péptido β-amiloide (Aβ) está relacionado con la enfermedad de Alzheimer (EA) y
es el principal componente de las placas amiloides.
Las variantes del péptido Aβ son Aβ (1-40), (1-42) y (25-35), que es la región más
tóxica y juega un papel relevante en la EA.
En este trabajo se revisan los orígenes moleculares, cambios conformacionales y
actividad biológica del péptido para proveer un panorama a nivel molecular de la EA.
