Tratamiento endovascular del síndrome postrombótico

RESUMEN
El síndrome postrombótico causa disminución en la calidad de vida de los pacientes que lo padecen. Sólo el 33% de los casos con trombosis venosa proximal se resuelven mediante anticoagulación. En este artículo, se presentan técnicas de venoplastias y
“stenting” venoso, así como el material para recanalizar oclusiones crónicas del sistema venoso profundo en sectores iliocavos, iliofemorales y femoropoplíteos. La terapia endovascular representa actualmente una herramienta fundamental para el tratamiento del síndrome postrombótico, ya que se trata de un procedimiento mínimamente invasivo, seguro y comprobado. Sin embargo, esta terapéutica requiere alto entrenamiento por parte del subespecialista.
