Asociación entre los factores de la conducta alimentaria y la expresión del gen DRD2: Un estudio en gemelos monocigotos mexicanos

RESUMEN
Introducción: La conducta alimentaria en el humano es una conducta compleja, con factores psicológicos, sociales y culturales.
Esta se compone del deseo de comer (reforzamiento/recompensa) y del control del acto de comer (control inhibitorio). Se
conoce que al bloquear los receptores D2 postsinápticos del núcleo accumbens, se induce la disminución de la conducta
de antojo. Para probar esta hipótesis medimos la expresión del gen DRD2 y correlacionamos la expresión con los factores
de alimentación en un grupo de gemelos mexicanos.
Métodos: Se incluyeron 18 parejas de gemelos monocigotos (n = 36), riados juntos (al menos hasta los 18 años de edad). Originarios de la Ciudad de México. A los cuales se les aplicó el instrumento Tres Factores de Alimentación.
Resultados: Se observó una correlación significativa entre el factor «no controlado» y la expresión del gen DRD2 (p ‹ 0.03).
Conclusión: Por lo tanto, nosotros proponemos que la expresión del gen DRD2 en los individuos está correlacionada al tipo de factor de alimentación.
