RESUMEN

Las hernias orificiarias por trócares utilizados en cirugía laparoscópica son una complicación poco frecuente de estos procedimientos y su mecanismo de producción no es bien conocido. Se cree que se debe a que se retiran los trócares antes de liberar el neuperitoneo, lo que por presión hace que el intestino se proyecte sobre el orificio aponeurótico, produciendo así la hernia. Se presenta una serie de casos de hernias orificiarias operados en el Hospital ABC y se hacen algunas recomendaciones para evitar esta complicación.
