Cirugía laparoscópica del hígado

RESUMEN

El hígado, la vesicular biliar, los conductos biliares y el bazo son los órganos menos móviles del abdomen superior. La cirugía laparoscópica es el acceso comúnmente usado para el manejo de patologías relacionadas con estos órganos. Comparada con la cirugía abierta convencional, la cirugía mínimamente invasiva reduce el dolor y posoperatorio, disminuye las tasas de morbilidad, promueve la rápida movilización, disminuye el tiempo de recuperación y estadia hospitalaria y mejora los resultados cosméticos. Los resultados de la cirugía laparoscópica son tan buenos y en muchos casos, mejores que los resultados obtenidos en la cirugía convencional. Este trabajo observa los avances en la cirugía laparoscópica, y describe prácticas y técnicas de cirugía laparoscópica para el tratamiento de patología tumoral hepática maligna, benigna y quística.
