Recomendaciones de práctica clínica para el manejo del dolor neuropático: Grupo de interés en dolor neuropático de la Asociación Mexicana para el Estudio y Tratamiento del Dolor

RESUMEN

El dolor neuropático (DN) es una entidad heterogénea con una sintomatología diversa. Pese a las controversias existentes en relación a su definición y clasificación que dificultan conocer su epidemiología, se ha estimado que una elevada proporción de pacientes son portadoras de este problema médico. Por ello, se conformó un grupo de consenso con la finalidad de realizar una revisión de recomendaciones médicas que faciliten la toma de decisiones y el abordaje terapéutico del mismo. Se efectuaron tres sesiones de trabajo en las cuales se evaluaron las evidencias médicas científicas sobre el diagnóstico y tratamiento de diversas condiciones generadoras de DN.
