Anticonceptivos hormonales y alteración de las pruebas de función tiroidea

RESUMEN
El incremento del uso de anticonceptivos hormonales es cada vez más frecuente. Las pruebas de función tiroidea pueden resultar alteradas en usuarias de anticonceptivos hormonales y los tratamientos con hormonas tiroideas o antitiroideas puedes ser erróneos. Ninguna sustancia química, prescrita como medicamento, es inocua, por lo que deben considerarse los efectos secundarios de cualquier fármaco. Existen pocos estudios de los efectos adversos de los anticonceptivos hormonales y la información relacionada con su interacción en la función tiroidea es escasa.
