RESUMEN
Esta revisión abarca la información científica más relevante sobre la inmunopatología de las enfermedades autoinmunes ampollosas, el liquen
rubber plano y lupus. La inmunofluorescencia fue la primera herramienta usada como ayuda diagnóstica y a veces, pronóstica en las enfermedades autoinmunes cutáneas y aun continua siendo de gran ayuda para los clínicos. Al emplear antígenos recombinantes y adaptar técnicas de tipo ensayo inmunoenzimatico (ELISA), de inmunoprecipitación y de “immunoblotting” se aclaró la clasificación de estas enfermedades autoinmunes. Con ELISA se hacen diaria y simultáneamente diagnósticos en gran número de muestras, siendo los resultados rápidos, precisos y cuantitativos. Los recientes conocimientos en pénfigo como son las interacciones en la comunicación de los linfocitos T y B, además del reconocimiento de los epítopes de las desmogleinas, han dado base para
