Virus de la hepatitis C (VHC) y su relación con la piel

RESUMEN

En la hepatitis crónica se acepta como la causa más común la infección del virus de la hepatitis C (vhc), adquirido por vía parenteral o sexual. El padecimiento puede además estar acompañado de múltiples manifestaciones extrahepáticas, entre las que destacan las relacionadas con piel, órgano importante, pues puede ser la vía de entrada del virus y uno de los sitios de la replicación viral, o bien el sitio en que se presenten diversas manifestaciones clínicas ante la presencia del vhc.
