RESUMEN
La hipertricosis se define como la presencia de pelo (lanugo,
velloso o terminal) excesivo y anormal para la edad, raza o sexo,
y que aparece en sitios no dependientes de la estimulación androgénica.
Se clasifica en formas hereditarias o adquiridas, y generalizadas
o localizadas. Puede presentarse de manera aislada,
o asociarse a síndromes y enfermedades adyacentes.
